The competition is brought to a close with the Great Egg Race Finale, a hilarious competition that brings out the Lego builder in all of us!!

BP Everest Challenge

BP have designed a fun team focused game, created in conjunction with Stephen Venables, which reflects the challenges he faced on his climb to the summit of Mount Everest.

The 'adventures' teams face during this game do not reflect the physical elements of such an achievement but highlight the essential components of perseverance, leadership, communication, resource management, planning and most importantly - mutual dependence between all the members of the 'expedition'.

It is suitable for 25 - 120 persons and can be used to bond new and existing business teams, support conference messages and objectives, generate camaraderie and team spirit, enhance training programmes or to entertain and reward staff.

It is each team's objective to be the first to ascend Everest. To achieve this teams must:

  • Have a clear plan for ‘the climb’
  • Communicate effectively between HQ and the climb team
  • Work as a close knit team on the climb tasks
  • Be flexible, altering plans as conditions change
  • Manage their available time to maximum advantage

BP Building For Success

Following the success of the exclusive and popular event, Everest Challenge, the company have just launched Building for Success – a new team-based game, creating the perfect event for conference support, staff motivation and team building. It is designed to test all aspects of team work, including time management, communication, resource allocation and camaraderie.

The format for the game is flexible, ranging from a one hour "ice breaker" at the beginning of a conference or training session, to a full three-hour game, including a range of indoor or outdoor team tasks.

Whichever format is chosen, Building for Success is a fast-moving and highly competitive game that combines light physical team tasking with constantly changing mental challenges that are guaranteed to motivate, entertain and unite any department or business team.

The only element of the game that is simple, is the objective – to build the highest tower possible in the time available. The teams face constantly changing building block prices displayed on the computer screen at the Merchant.

Additional information and the latest planning regulations are broadcast on Construction Radio and in a newsletter, Construction Quarterly, which combine to make a fast moving and dynamic atmosphere, where making the right decision at the right time can be the difference between success and failure.

And, as if that wasn’t a sufficient challenge, teams must complete a series of team tasks in an attempt to gain additional money to fund their tower constructions.

Only one team can win the game but, whatever the result, all the competitors will be better prepared to win in today’s increasingly competitive business environment.

The game is suitable for groups of 15-250 participants and can either be staged in a conference room, marquee or outdoor grassed area, dependant on numbers and the format selected.
